About Event
Food security is a worldwide concern, but particularly in Africa. The number one problem for African farmers is access to capital. Without working capital farmers struggle to get ahead and provide food for the continent. To access capital, farmers need insurance to cover the capital risk. The Insurance providers themselves need a standardized and scalable way to efficiently gauge the risks, tailor premiums and potentially deliver yield optimization insight to the farmers.
This event brings together three speakers from South Africa’s insurance, academia, and business to present and discuss the challenge, the innovative solution being developed to overcome it at scale, and its impact on food security.
During this event you will be able to:
Understand the problems and size of the market
Understand the technical solutions to address the problems.
Gain insight into the business opportunity
Discuss the financial feasibility and scalability of the solution
Engage the subject matter experts at the cutting-edge of solving the problem
